Assessment with Interracial Couples in EFT

Assessment with Interracial Couples in EFT

Crystal P. Fegenbush

LPC, LAC, NCC ICEEFT Certified EFT Therapist and Suprevisor-in-Training

In this two hour, online workshop, we will identify key assessment criteria while working with interracial couples in the EFT model. In the early stages of EFT we identify the negative cycle that gets between the couple in moments of conflict. This cycle work must also include the systems of oppression that are impacting each partner differently in order to effectively understand our couples. In this workshop, participants will learn to identify how to assess for these differences that go beyond culture and into explicit differences of power and privilege between interracial partners
