Enrich your EFIT practice: widening your lens
Join EFT Trainers Robert Allan and Helene Igwebuike for a special two part webinar across two dates -April 25 and May 2 - for an engaging exploration of EFIT through multiple lenses including identities and multiple aspects of self of both the client and therapist. One week Helene will be showing her EFIT work with Robert as discussant and the other week, Robert will be showing his EFIT work with Helene as a discussant.
Helene (she/her) is a Nigerian, Danish, mixed race, bisexual, cis-woman who migrated to London 25 years ago and Robert (he/him) is a Gay, Canadian, white, cis-male who grew up working class and migrated to USA 9 years ago. We will showcase how our lived realities with multiple identities deepen our clinical practice through our clinical work and in discussion with each other and the participants.

Bios:
Helene Igwebuike is a certified Emotionally Focused Couple Therapist, Supervisor and Trainer. Helene is Joint Centre Head of the British EFT Centre supporting the growth of the British EFT community. Helene loves spreading her love of EFT by training therapists in the model in the UK and abroad.
Helene is mixed race of both Nigerian and Danish herit-age and grew up in Nigeria till she was 17 years, after which she moved to Denmark to study Chemical Engi-neering. She moved to London in 1997 for postgraduate degrees in Information Systems and Journalism, and then retrained as an Integrative Counsellor from 2003.
Helene completed her MA research on seeding and growing attachment security at Bath Spa University and is an engaging speaker on seeding attachment security.
Helene is passionately committed to helping couples and individuals heal and transform the relationship with themselves and loved ones. Helene has a wonderfully diverse cosmopolitan practice based in London and online and runs Hold Me Tight relationship enhancement workshops for couples.
Robert Allan (he/him/his) is an Associate Professor with the Couple and Family Therapy program at the University of Colorado Denver, LMFT, Approved AAMFT Supervisor, and ICEEFT EFT trainer. He is currently the co-Principal Investigator and supervised the Denver site for the first clinical trial of Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT).
Robert has helped train and supervise therapists and students in Emotionally Focused Therapy across Canada, the US, and Great Britain. Robert’s interest in EFT extends to his research work where he has explored cultural adaptations of EFT. He also explore the impact of minority stress on relationships and how best to work with our LGBTQ+ clients.
Robert completed his PhD at Dalhousie University, he is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Colorado, and an Approved Supervisor with the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. Robert is a warm, knowledgeable, and engaged trainer with a passion for helping people learn EFT
Robert maintains a private practice in Denver, CO and offers EFT supervision all over.
